Deanna B. - Practice Administrator
Active in the Lawrence medical scene since 1983, Deanna joined Lawrence Internal Medicine in October 2004 as an RN working with Dr. Dillon. In June 2008 she transitioned to her current role as Practice Administrator. Deanna’s behind-the-scene administrative work keep the business wheels turning, yet you may find her working with Dr.s Dillon and Kimmel, greeting you at the front desk, or answering the phone. Deanna’s educational background includes general studies at the University of Kansas, Associate Degree completion at Neosho County Mary Grimes School of Nursing (1995), and The Art Institute of Pittsburg, where she studied Interior Design. Deanna is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders), MGMA (Medical Group Management Association), ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and is pursuing certifications in ACMPE (American College of Medical Practice Executives) and NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification).
Raised an Air Force brat, Deanna has traveled extensively and is a self-proclaimed foodie, bibliophile, and lover of all things hot, including the weather. In her spare time, Deanna searches for her retirement utopia: a low humidity tropical paradise with phenomenal local food markets, super-spicy chili peppers, and libraries for miles.
